6 New Rust Tools on RustAddicted: RustBot, CCTV Codes, Events, Genetics & More

RustAddicted is becoming much more than a collection of Rust servers.

Over the last few weeks, we have been expanding The Workbench with tools, databases and calculators that should be useful even if you have never played on one of our servers.

And we have just added another batch.

The latest additions include:

Some of these solve very specific problems.

Others are tools you might end up keeping open on a second monitor for most of a wipe.

Here is what is new.

Rust Chat — Talk About Anything Rust

We have added a new Rust community chat directly to RustAddicted.

It is a place where players can talk about basically anything related to Rust:

  • servers,

  • updates,

  • base designs,

  • PvP,

  • farming,

  • skins,

  • monuments,

  • wipes,

  • plugins,

  • strategies,

  • and whatever else is happening in the Rust world.

The goal is to gradually create another place where the wider Rust community can meet — not only players from our own servers.

Whether you want to ask for advice, discuss a new update, show something you built or simply talk Rust, you can jump in.

Rust CCTV Camera Codes — Every Static Camera in One Place

We have also added a complete Rust CCTV Camera Codes database.

If you use a Computer Station in Rust, you probably know the problem.

You remember that Oil Rig has cameras.

You remember Cargo has cameras.

You absolutely do not remember whether the code was OILRIG1L3, OILRIG2L3A, or something else entirely.

The new Rust CCTV Codes database puts the available camera identifiers in one place with quick copying.

CCTV Codes by Monument

The database includes cameras for locations such as:

  • Large Oil Rig

  • Oil Rig

  • Cargo Ship

  • Ferry Terminal

  • Missile Silo

  • Outpost

  • Radtown

  • Bandit Camp

  • The Dome

  • Airfield

Click a code and copy it directly.

No more keeping a random text file called rust-camera-codes-final-final2.txt.

We Also Explain the Weird Cases

Not every CCTV identifier is static.

Underwater Labs are procedurally generated, meaning their camera identifiers depend on the current map.

The same applies to some other procedural content.

The database separates these cases instead of pretending one universal list works everywhere.

Rust Events Database — Know What Is Happening on the Island

Rust has reached the point where there is a lot more happening than Cargo Ship and Patrol Helicopter.

So we built a dedicated Rust Events Database.

The database brings different Rust events into one place and explains:

  • what the event is,

  • how it starts,

  • how long it lasts where applicable,

  • what happens during it,

  • and what rewards you can expect.

World Events in One Database

You can find information about events such as:

  • Patrol Helicopter

  • Cargo Ship

  • CH-47 Chinook

  • Airdrops

  • Travelling Vendor

  • Road Bradleys

  • Satellite Crash

  • Deep Sea

alongside other monument, world and seasonal events.

Live Events on RustAddicted Servers

The Events section is also designed to connect with our own servers.

That means the platform can increasingly show what is actually happening in the RustAddicted world instead of functioning only as a static wiki.

Before joining a server, you can already get an idea of what may be happening on the map.

Useful Even If You Play Somewhere Else

The database is built around Rust itself rather than only our custom server content.

That means you can use it as a reference even if you are playing vanilla or on another community server.

Rust Genetics Calculator — Stop Guessing Your Crossbreeds

Anyone who has seriously tried Rust farming genetics knows how quickly it turns into a spreadsheet.

Six gene slots.

Different donor plants.

Weighted genes.

Crossbreeding positions.

Planting order.

And somehow the plant you were certain would become GGYYYY ends up looking like it was genetically engineered by your worst enemy.

We built the Rust Genetics Calculator to make this considerably easier.

Choose the Plant You Are Breeding

The calculator supports many farmable Rust species, including:

  • Hemp

  • Corn

  • Pumpkin

  • Potatoes

  • multiple Berry colors

  • Wheat

  • Orchids

  • Roses

  • Sunflowers

You can enter the genomes of your clones, select which one sits in the center and let the calculator work out the possible result.

See the Odds for Every Gene Slot

Instead of only giving you one guessed final result, the calculator can show the probability for the individual gene slots.

You can also work toward target genomes such as:

GGYYYY

or:

GGGYYY

and plan which clones are worth combining.

Understand Why a Crossbreed Fails

Rust genetics uses weighted genes.

The calculator handles that logic for you so you do not need to manually calculate every donor interaction.

If the plants you entered cannot realistically create the genome you want, the tool can help make that obvious before you waste time growing another generation.

Save Your Genomes

The system is also designed around your RustAddicted account, allowing useful genetics data and future farming tools to become part of the wider platform.

Less Excel.

More pumpkins.

Rust Code Raid List — Because Players Keep Using 1234

This one is both useful and slightly terrifying.

We have created a Rust Code Raid List containing common four-digit combinations arranged in an order that a code raider might reasonably try them.

And yes:

1234 is still exactly as bad as you think.

Humans are extremely predictable when choosing PINs.

Codes based on:

  • repeating numbers,

  • years,

  • simple sequences,

  • keyboard patterns,

  • dates,

  • and repeated pairs

appear far more frequently than truly random combinations.

That is useful information from both sides of a Rust door.

Check Your Own Base Code

The page also includes a code checker.

Enter your current four-digit lock code and see where it appears in the raid list.

You may discover that your ultra-secret clan code is attempt number seven.

In that case, perhaps do not tell your clan where you found this tool.

Just change the code.

Useful for Raiders and Defenders

The tool works from two perspectives:

Raider: Which codes would make the most sense to try first?

Defender: How predictable is the code protecting everything I own?

Even if you never code raid another player, the second question alone makes the database useful.

Rust Power Calculator — Plan Your Base Electricity

Rust electricity can be incredibly satisfying.

It can also result in spending forty minutes wiring an enormous circuit only to discover your batteries cannot keep it alive through the night.

The new Rust Power Calculator is designed around a straightforward question:

How much power does my base actually need?

The tool helps you plan the electrical requirements of your Rust base and work out what kind of power infrastructure you need.

It is useful for systems involving things such as:

  • Auto Turrets

  • SAM Sites

  • lighting

  • heaters

  • pumps

  • industrial systems

  • alarms

  • electrical logic

  • and large automated compounds

before you build the entire circuit in-game.

Plan Before You Wire

Instead of placing everything first and troubleshooting the circuit afterwards, you can plan the setup before committing resources.

That becomes increasingly useful as Rust electrical systems become larger and more complicated.

A small base might only need a few lights.

A large compound can have dozens of electrical consumers running simultaneously.

The calculator gives you another way to understand that requirement before something unexpectedly powers down.

One Workbench for Rust

These six additions are part of a larger direction for RustAddicted.

We do not want The Workbench to become another collection of five calculators copied from existing Rust websites.

The goal is to connect the tools together.

Your Rust data should increasingly flow naturally between:

  • databases,

  • calculators,

  • server information,

  • skins,

  • player statistics,

  • community features,

  • and future tools.

Today you might open the Genetics Calculator to plan a farm.

Tomorrow you might check the Rust Events Database before joining a server, copy a camera from the CCTV Codes, verify your lock using the Code Raid List, calculate a circuit with the Power Calculator, and then jump into Rust Chat to discuss the result with other players.

That is the direction we are heading.

More Rust Tools Are Coming

We are building quickly.

The RustAddicted Workbench already contains tools covering:

  • raiding,

  • recycling,

  • crafting,

  • tech trees,

  • decay,

  • resource yields,

  • genetics,

  • electricity,

  • skins,

  • outfits,

  • inventories,

  • admin commands,

  • CCTV cameras,

  • events,

  • code raiding,

  • and more.

And this is still nowhere near the end of what we want to build.

If there is a Rust calculation, database or annoying piece of information you repeatedly search for during a wipe, tell us.

There is a good chance it belongs in The Workbench.
